Open Mic for Writers

The final ‘Open Mic for Writers’ this year is on Thursday 29th November.

Got a story you want to read? Trying something out with a novel and not sure if it works? Or simply like listening to original writing, some of it never heard before? Each reader has upto eight minutes in which to read their work to an appreciative audience.

Prose, poetry, drama, film scripts, we want to hear it all. Bring along your piece and read it out, in an eight-minute slot for each reader.

The sessions usually take place on the last Thursday of the month (excluding July, August and December), from 7pm in the upstairs ‘Roof Box’ at HASH, 14 Coniscliffe Road, Darlington DL3 7RG.

The events are part of the programme supported by Darlington for Culture (DfC). Dates for 2019: 31st January; 28th February; 28th March; 25th April; 30th May; 27th June; 26th September; 31st October; 28th November.
