Festival: Darlington Mind group exhibition

The exhibition is a selection of artwork by people who attend the Darlington Mind Art and Creative Crafts Group.

The group provides a safe and supportive environment where people with mental health issues can go to rediscover old talents and learn, develop and explore new skills, to express themselves creatively. It is also a place to make friends and escape the loneliness and isolation that can be experienced. It is a place people go to have a chat and find a voice.

The group promotes confidence building and practises self-sufficiency and resilience. It is somewhere free from judgement where people can produce art work to be proud of. The aim is that with support from the Darlington Mind Art and Creative Crafts Group, people are able to lead a better and happier life.

The Town Hall exhibition space is programmed by Creative Darlington.
