In 2018, Darlington Borough Council decided to keep the central library service at Crown Street and it plans to invest £2m in improvements and repairs.
The council is now seeking views from people about the future of the library service by asking two broad questions:
- “What would you like to see provided as part of the library service in the central library (Crown Street) and elsewhere in the Borough?”
- “Is there anything you wouldn’t want to see provided as part of the library service in the central library (Crown Street) and elsewhere in the Borough?”
You can give your opinion on the future provision before 15th March, on line here, and at the council’s drop-in events in the Cornmill Shopping Centre during February half-term or at the Dolphin Centre and Crown Street library.
