An open mic opportunity for creative writers to share their published works. Following the closure of the Arts Centre in 2012, DfC has worked to provide a platform for local artists to showcase their work. At the heart of their programme has been the annual Arts Festival with its growing focus on creative writing and literary arts.
So this year, to mark the success of DfC’s undertaking, there is a chance for local writers to come along and share their achievements with each other and a supportive audience. All are welcome to read from any piece of creative writing they have had published.
The only rule is that you must have published the work (either in a journal, magazine, anthology, single authored publication or a website other than your own). Works published in paperback form can be self-published.
Readers will have a max of 8 minutes to read.
